Did you know that the Monumental Cemetery is home to the famous Tomba di Alessandro Manzoni, the author of I Promessi Sposi? And, if you look carefully, you’ll spot the tomb of Arturo Toscanini, one of the greatest conductors in history.
The cemetery features incredible sculptures and stunning mausoleums, and it’s considered a masterpiece of 19th-century funerary art. You’ll be amazed by the intricate details and emotional depth of these works.
